1. The service
Versehaven brings together Bible editions, historical library works, original-language study tools, personal study features, source search, and, when configured, AI-assisted research. Some content is available in a limited public demo; the full study space requires a verified account and active access. Features, sources, editions, and availability may change as the service develops.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. If you have not reached the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must consent to your use. You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account and may not sell, transfer, or permit unauthorized access to it.
3. Access and plans
Any paid offer will identify its price, currency, taxes, access period, renewal terms, and payment provider before purchase. A fixed-term plan ends after its stated access period and does not renew automatically. A recurring plan renews for the period shown at checkout until canceled. We may offer different features or plans over time, but a change will not silently convert a fixed-term purchase into a recurring subscription.
If offered, lifetime access means access for the commercial life of the Versehaven service, not the lifetime of an individual user and not a promise that every feature, source, or edition will remain available indefinitely.
4. Billing, cancellation, and refunds
When you purchase a recurring plan, you authorize the disclosed charges until you cancel. You may cancel through the method presented in your account or at checkout. Cancellation stops future renewals and does not normally end access before the close of a paid period. Failed, reversed, refunded, or disputed payments may suspend or revoke the access funded by that payment.
Each purchase or renewal charge is eligible for a full refund when requested within 14 days of the charge, as explained in our Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits cooling-off periods, refunds, statutory guarantees, or other consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived. If these Terms conflict with mandatory law, mandatory law controls.
5. Bible texts, sources, and licenses
Versehaven distinguishes Bible editions, historical works, source-language datasets, and AI-assisted explanations. Each published edition or third-party source remains subject to its own attribution, copyright, public-domain status, and license terms. Selecting one Bible edition does not authorize us to replace it with another or label generated text as a published translation.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service under these Terms. Versehaven’s software, design, branding, and original organization remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law. No rights to third-party material are granted beyond its stated license or rights provided by law. See Sources & licenses for available provenance and attribution details.
6. AI-assisted research
AI-assisted answers are provided for study and informational purposes. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading and are not a substitute for reading the cited material or seeking qualified professional advice. They do not represent a definitive theological interpretation, and you should exercise your own judgment before relying on them.
Versehaven checks that citation identifiers refer to retrieved sources, but a valid citation does not prove that the source supports every claim. Review the cited source and the identified Bible edition yourself. If an AI provider is unavailable, Versehaven may provide source search without generating an answer rather than fabricate a response.
7. Your content and privacy
You retain any rights you hold in notes, questions, and other material you submit. You give us the limited permission needed to store, process, display, and transmit that material solely to operate, secure, and improve the service. You must have the right to submit it and must not submit unlawful or infringing material. Do not place sensitive personal information in research prompts or study notes unless it is necessary and you accept the associated risk.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, retain, and protect personal data. Third-party providers may also process data under their own terms and privacy notices.
8. Acceptable use
You may not misuse Versehaven. In particular, you may not:
- break the law, infringe another person’s rights, or distribute harmful or deceptive material through the service;
- circumvent authentication, purchase access, rate limits, security controls, or restrictions attached to a source or edition;
- scrape, bulk-download, copy, resell, or redistribute the service or its content except as a source license, an available interface, or applicable law permits; or
- introduce malware, interfere with operation, probe for vulnerabilities without authorization, or impose an unreasonable load on the service.
9. Third-party services and links
Versehaven may depend on third-party services for authentication, hosting, email, payments, AI processing, and source material, and may link to external sites. Their availability and separate terms may affect your use. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services we do not control, but this does not remove responsibilities that applicable consumer law places on us.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Versehaven at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, nonpayment, fraud, unlawful activity, a security risk, or a legal requirement. Where practical, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to address the issue, but urgent legal or security risks may require immediate action. Terms that by their nature should survive termination, including license limits, disclaimers, and liability provisions, will survive.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Versehaven is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, complete search results, error-free content, continued availability of a particular source or edition, or the accuracy of AI-assisted output. These disclaimers do not exclude express commitments or warranties, guarantees, and remedies that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable under these Terms for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages that were not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or mandatory consumer remedies. Any further limitation must be interpreted narrowly and consistently with the law that applies to you.
13. Changes, law, and contact
We may update these Terms when the service, law, or our business changes. We will post the revised Terms and update the effective date; if a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice before it takes effect. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. The laws and courts with lawful jurisdiction apply, while any mandatory protections of your place of residence remain available to you.
Questions about these Terms may be sent through the support channel identified in the service. The contracting operator is INSERT LEGAL ENTITY NAME.
